Kitchen refuse to Rubbermaid garbage cans

It's a good idea to keep things generally clean. Once or twice per year, however, a more extensive cleaning will boost the health and beauty of your home. Starting with your kitchen: you can do a quick clean-up first. Get your cleaning supplies together, making sure your Rubbermaid wastebaskets have been emptied and your gloves are in good shape. Wash your dishes and/or load your dishwasher, wiping down the counters as you finish up. Any items lying around that you don't need can go right into the trash to be set out in your Rubbermaid garbage cans later. It's a good idea to put some baking powder and crumpled up newspapers in the bottom of the fresh trash bag to eliminate odors and soak up any liquids. Dont' forget to pick up some Rubbermaid air fresheners as well.

Rubbermaid trash cans, kitchen clean-up

After your kitchen is straightened and the piles of dishes have been dealt with, it's time to use some vinegar and dishwashing liquid, or whatever you prefer, and wipe your walls, vents, doors and any other items on the vertical surfaces of your kitchen. If your walls are greasy, you may want to use a solution for heavy duty cleaning. Rubbermaid garbage cans are good candidates for these strong cleaning solutions, by the way. Eventually, odors accumulate in receptacles like Rubbermaid trash cans, and an outdoor scrubbing is a painless way to counteract the unpleasant smells. Back inside, though, in the kitchen, it's now a good time to dust and clean your ceiling fan, pictures, mirrors, blinds, and any other items hanging on your walls or ceiling. Don't forget to empty and refill your bucket of water and soap frequently. You can find any of these Rubbermaid products here in our online store.

Rubbermaid wastebaskets, mops, brooms

It's much nicer in your kitchen now. Here is what you can do to finish the job:

  • Pull one of those big, sturdy Rubbermaid trash cans over to the refrigerator and throw out what you'll never eat or use.
  • Set everything you're keeping on the counters and wipe the refrigerator clean with warm soapy water. Next clean your small appliances, the stove, and the oven (wait for a chilly night to run that self-cleaning oven!)
  • Wipe kitchen cabinets and the drawers beneath and above them, throwing junk drawer trash into one of your Rubbermaid wastebaskets.
  • Wash the sink, and sweep, then mop the floors.
